ASCE Alaska Section designates O'Connell Bridge a Historic Civil Engineering Landmark
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Alaska Section had a full schedule of events September 9-11 in Southeast Alaska to celebrate its 2022 Historic Civil Engineering Landmarks announcements. The dedication ceremonies included the Salmon Creek Dam in Juneau and the O’Connell Bridge in Sitka. PND Principal Engineer Mark Sams, PE, SE, also accepted the ASCE Region 8 Small Project of the Year award Saturday in Juneau on behalf of PND for our Statter Harbor Improvements Project, while PND Marketing Manager Aaron Unterreiner attended the O’Connell Bridge dedication ceremony Sunday in Sitka.
